Region: Burgundy Grapes: Pinot Noir First Glance: Potent, Black Fruit, Voluminous, Long
The Wine: A discreet application of wood sets off deeply pitched liqueur-like aromas of black cherry, plum and a whiff of the sauvage. As one would reasonably expect, there is better volume to the delicious middle weight flavors that culminate in a subtly stony and slightly warm finale. This too is really very good and worth considering. Tasted from BarrelAlan Meadows – Burghound January 2020
